There a lot of people who love boats. Well, who doesn’t anyway. One of the most popular of its kind is the sail boats. It’s easy and simple to build. So let’s take a look on how we can build a small wooden sail boat.
Before you begin working on your boat, of course you have to gather all the supplies you need. First thing to do in build a wooden boat is wood in plank form. What varies how much wood you and need the size is depending on which wood you use. When you decided which wood you’re going to use, then it’s time for you to buy your woods to the nearest local story and ask help to find how much you really need. You can also use desing programs. it is recommended by experts that the stems on any wooden sail boat should be made out of white oak.
When you make the frame for the bottom of your boat, it should be flat. Once you’re done with the stem then you focus on making the side boards of your boat. After making the mould of the boat, attach the side boards to the stem which can be done by hammering it down. Once attacehd, you add your mould. after everything is in place, you are now ready for the bottom to be attached.
Turn your sail boat upside down as you put the bottom on your sail boat and then nailed down the sideboard to the stringer. You need to make sure that the joints are nice and tight by seating, the keel and the canvas on the deck. Once done, then it’s time to paint your boat.
